If you are suffering from anxiety and not depression an SSRI will not help you. There are many safe anti anxiety medications that will help you. You can go to nami.org This is the site for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill on this site you can find out anything you want to know about anxiety. Nobody can recommend what is right for you as many will work for others but not for you, Your psychiatrist is the one who is qualified to diagnose and handle you. If you endure with depression also there are a few antidepressants that contain an antianxiety medication but only a psychiatrist can choose what is best for you

Lexapro, it takes about six weeks to build up a therapeutic level in your body. In the meantime you could question your doctor to give you enough Klonopin to tide you over until the Lexapro kicks in. Best desires.

None. Use hypnosis or a homeopathic solution.

The modern solution is to handle an anxiety disorder is often to prescribe an antidepressant. Let’s just reckon about that for a moment. Firstly, many anti depressants are now known to really have a side effect of – wait for it – causing anxiety. Secondly, there really is no question about the fact that this is a prime example of treating the symptom rather than the problem. (‘We’re not worried why you experiencing anxiety; we’ll make you feel better about it’… This is much the same as saying ‘We’re not worried why your legs just became paralysed, but we’ll make you feel better about it’.) Thirdly, in an antidepressant solution, most doctors readily declare they do not know how long you’ll stay on the medication, what the side effects will be, or even why they work. It’s a small like saying ‘stand on one foot, face the wind and say abracadabra three times – I don’t know why it works but it does…’

Get real. Use a proper method to find your solution.
